Global Missions
Christ Temple’s influence in the global community reaches far beyond a visit to a
faraway land but our presence and emphasis are reflected in love, financial
support, evangelism, and fellowship. We ship barrels of food, clothing, shoes,
toiletries, school supplies, etc. to several locations in the Caribbean, including
the Dominican Republic, St. Lucia and Haiti.

Brotherhood
The mission of the Brotherhood of Christ Temple Church is to disciple men of all races, nationalities and ethnicities, to become true disciples of Jesus Christ. We foster an environment of brotherly love that is conducive to the spiritual growth of the men, and which inspires them to live holy lives and advance the kingdom of God.
The Brotherhood emphasizes repentance, consecration, spiritual renewal and leadership development, through the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit. As well, the Brotherhood focuses on the spiritual disciplines of prayer, fasting, Bible study, simplicity, submission, service, worship and celebration.

Women’s Council
The focus of Christ Temple’s Women’s Council is to support women in the spiritual, social, educational, health, and mental/emotional areas of their lives. This ministry also fosters solidarity among the women, helping to build their faith as well as their self-confidence, and thereby equipping them to be better able to manage issues and concerns in their world – family, friends, work and church.

Chosen
CHOSEN seeks to equip youth to become disciples of Christ who engage in the consistent study of the Bible, prayer and other spiritual disciplines. CHOSEN also seeks to reach the world for Jesus, with an emphasis on youth, as well as to impact our community through outreach activities and social justice initiatives. This ministry also strives to support the academic and career development of our youth.

Social Justice
The mission of Christ Temple’s Social Justice Ministry is to be the salt of the earth in our community and beyond. This ministry also offers a prophetic voice in our time, based on our understanding of biblical liberation; that is the use of power that is transforming, relational and redemptive.
This ministry also strives to address the social needs of those who have been largely ignored, marginalized and systematically excluded from the social/political narrative. We also seek to inform, educate and advocate for those whose voices have been excluded from the public narrative. We do so through civic engagement, and helping to equip those in our community with the tools to help transform our local community and beyond.

Christian Education Department
The Christian Education Department helps to ensure that Christ Temple Church continues to be a learning community of faith, at all age levels. Thus, the primary role of the Department is to coordinate opportunities that serve to disciple, nurture and educate those who are part of our fellowship, and to reach others in the community with these opportunities.
Elder John Butler
Outreach
The mission of the Fellowship Outreach Ministry is to provide ministry and care unto even “the least of these”.
We demonstrate the love and compassion of Jesus in our weekly outreach church at a Bronx substance abuse program, as well as the distribution of donated clothing, blankets, and personal care kits to needy adults and children in the metropolitan area.
We share the Word of God so that many will learn of Christ, repent, and be baptized, receive God’s Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38), and then be discipled in their new life.
Deacon and Sister Baker
Prayer
The goal of the Prayer Ministry at Christ Temple of the Apostolic Faith is to facilitate the development, maintenance, and growth of consistent individual and corporate prayer. As Christ Temple seeks to go to another level in God, we see a greater need for more meaningful, strategic, and consistent prayer.
We carry out the command of our Lord that His “house shall be called the house of prayer…” (Isaiah 56:7, Matthew 21:13, and Mark 11: 17)
Elder Julian Varner
Music
Our purpose and goal is to help usher in the presence of God and bring us to a whole other level through praise and worship and lifting up the most powerful name of Jesus Christ. Dedicated to the growth of our members from children to adults who love to sing God’s praises and bless the name of the Lord. When the praises go up, the blessings come down.
Sister Diane Lester
Usher Board
Our mission as Christ Temple ushers is to extend God’s love and provide a welcoming environment to all of our visitors and members. With the Lord’s help, we aim to help create an atmosphere that is conducive to worship.
Deacon Bryant Deacon Harris
Deacons
As deacons, we serve the members of the congregation in many important ways. These include visiting the sick, caring for the elderly, widows and orphans. Our role also extends to participation in church planning and the business of the church.
